Sorry, I was MIA yesterday – it’s been a crazy, busy week here at FS! And I’ve been getting feedback from the Twitterverse that many of you have also been playing catch-up after the long weekend! Ah, well, that’s the price we pay for taking an extra day off.
Today started out quite foggy & grey, and it seems I wasn’t the only one having trouble getting my brain going this morning! @pixiemua had to resort to instant coffee this morning, poor thing. I know they say the taste has improved, but really, nothing beats a good cup of brewed java! @GLOSSette was also feeling a bit groggy and decided to take it easy today. You deserve it after all your hard work in school this year.
In other Twitter news, there’s been lots of buzz about the new show The Voice, which has been trending all day. I’ve seen tons of promos for it but missed the debut. I chatted with @jeaarr and she reminded me why I should be watching:
Yep, that’s reason enough for me!
Also, lots of tweeps watching the NHL playoffs, like @jeffdoc, who’s pretty excited about tonight’s game.

It’s so nice to be back to a normal routine after a long weekend of gorging on way too much chocolate, marshmallow peeps, and other sugary treats! Hope you all had the chance to spend a relaxing weekend with friends & family. And how about that weather? We really enjoyed the warm temps here in the GTA – did you all finally get some Spring-like weather in your respective areas?
It’s been a busy Monday here in the office, but I got to chat with a few of you throughout the day. I was happy to hear that @GoombaKing83 (winner of our TFC ticket contest) had a fabulous time at the soccer game on Saturday. He loved the seats and got to see the TFC tie Columbus – not a win, but that’s OK. There’s always next time, right?
I also drew the $10 Starbucks gift card winner from Thursday’s post – congrats @dishanw! I must say your comment about the Cadbury milk chocolate from across the pond really piqued my curiosity. I definitely have to get my hands on one of those – you know, for testing purposes. ;)
Truth be told, I’m still pretty full from all the holiday feasting, so I may have to slow down on the sweets for a bit – although I don’t think @Tuffyrocks would agree with me!:
But, @pixiemua understands my dilemma. Seems I’m not alone in my constant cheesecake-craving battle:
If it’s any consolation, I totally feel your pain! But, now that the weather is starting to cooperate, we can always walk those calories off!

Exciting stuff going on in the Twitterverse today – just after lunch we announced the winner of our Toronto FC contest! I had a great time tweeting with and discovering all you fabulous TFC fans. In between tweeting coupons and chatting with tweeps, I sometimes like to run impromptu polls to find out more about you. More often than not, it involves chocolate or coffee – as you can see from the photo below, I have a bit of an addition to both!

So, today being the Thursday before the Easter weekend, it wasn’t long before the chat turned to Easter chocolate. I asked what people preferred: the old school solid Easter bunnies (remember biting their ears & heads off?), sleek Lindt bunnies in all their gold-wrapped splendor or (eww – please!) white chocolate rabbits.
Both @pixiemua and @42chrysta agreed that quality over quantity is the way to go – Go Team Lindt! @DailyMomDiaries is all about the Cadbury Creme eggs, and I have to admit – I do have a soft spot for those babies too!
